Obituary of Mary McLaughlin

Mary Ann McLaughlin, 48, a lifelong resident of Wappingers Falls, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008 at Victory Lake Nursing Center. Ms. McLaughlin was the Editor for Springer Publishing in Manhattan. She was a member of the Sierra Club, the Toast Masters Club and Holy Trinity Church. Born Nov. 17, 1959 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Arthur and Ellen White McLaughlin. She was a graduate of Arlington High School, Class of '77 and a graduate of Vassar College. She is survived by her sister, Theresa Wilczewski of Pleasant Valley and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Victory Lake Nursing Home and Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to Mary Ann during her illness. Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 4, at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45 a.m., Friday, Sept. 5, at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie. Burial will be in the Poughkeepsie rural Cemetery, South Ave., Poughkeepsie. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 and/or the Sierra Club.
