Obituary of Huda Nesheiwat

Huda S. Nesheiwat, a resident of Poughkeepsie, NY since 1979, formerly of Zarka, Jordan, died December 18, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 78. She was a member of the St. James Antiochian Orthodox Church. Born in Salt, Jordan on January 1, 1931, she was the daughter of Jeries and Mariam Dabahneh. She was married to Salem S. Nesheiwat. He predeceased her in 1983. Survivors include her sons, Jamal Nesheiwat and his wife, Evone, of Hyde Park; Kamal Nesheiwat and his wife, Laila, of Hyde Park; Amal Nesheiwat and his wife, Sue, of Poughkeepsie; Kamil Nesheiwat and his wife, Hweida, of Poughkeepsie; Kameel Nesheiwat and his wife, Diane, of Poughkeepsie; daughter, Rita Twal and her husband, Sam, of Poughkeepsie; son, Issa Nesheiwat and his wife, Marcel, of Highland; a sister, Neda Dabahneh of California; 30 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 7-9 pm and Monday, December 21, 2009 from 5-9 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, 10:30 am, at St. Gregory Orthodox Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY.
