Obituary of Grace Olah

Grace A. Olah, 91, a resident of Poughkeepsie, all her life, died March 8, 2009 at Wingate at Ulster. She was a Homemaker, attended Poughkeepsie High School, a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and Past President of St. Pauls Parish Aide. Born September 3, 1917, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Harry and Grace Sabine Ackert. On May 23, 1948, in Nativity Church in Poughkeepsie, she married Joseph Olah, who predeceased her in September 19, 1968. Survivors include son and daughterin-law, Joseph and Susan Olah of Hyde Park, NY; son-in-law, Dennis Zumwalt of Florrisant, Missouri; brother, Donald Ackert of Hyde Park, NY; sister, Audrey Sala of Poughkeepsie, NY; grandchildren, Mickey Grackin, Heidi Valery, Patrick Neuber, Jennifer Crowder; nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Zumwalt, September 1, 2008 and two brothers Al Ackert and Harry Ackert. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 2:30pm to 6:30pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral service will be held on March 12, 2009 at 10:00am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Mansion Street, Poughkeepsie, with Pastor Tyler Jones officiating. Burial will be at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Mansion Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601
