Marie Resimise Pierre-Louis was born on December 25, 1941 in Casale, Haiti to Lilia Deraville and Theresias Pierre-Louis. She began visiting the United States in 1993. Resou ( as she is known by many ) was a hardworking, kind, affectionate mom who dearly loved God. She loved and sacrificed for her children. She had a very special relation with her family and friends. She was a friendly, courageous and compassionate person. She always had a smile and always there to offer a word of advice to family and friends. She enjoyed cooking Haitian delicacies and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends. Left to mourn her passing are her sons and daughter in-laws, Pierre and Gladys Belneau Joseph of Poughkeepsie, Michel and Marie Joseph of Poughkeepsie, daughter and her husband Renelle and Alaric Gee of Hamden CT. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Justin Gee, Christian Gee, Cassie Joseph, Kayla Joseph, two sisters, Theremise Pierre-Louis, Eliza Pierre-Louis and he nieces and nephews and a host of Relatives and friends. Mom would never stop thanking you for the sacrifices you made to give us a better life. To us, you are the best and we will continue to thank you even when your eyes are closed forever. May you rest in peace. Visitation will be Friday from 6pm to 9pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie New York 12603. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday 11am at the Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lagrange Rural Cemetery.
