William Prince, 69, a resident of the Town of LaGrange, passed away on August 14, 2010 at home. He had previously worked as a Truck Driver, he worked for Effron Fuel, Dutton Lumber, and Dutchess Quarry in Pleasant Valley New York, retiring in 2006. He was a lifetime area resident, and was a collector of trains. William was born on July 1, 1941 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the son of Kenneth Prince, Sr. and Vivian VanDenbrul. He attended Roosevelt High School. He married Joyce A. Harnen in St. Peter's Church, Poughkeepsie. His wife survives at home in LaGrange. He is also survived by his daughter and son in law; Patricia L. and James Phillips, Accord, NY, daughter and son in law; Lisa Marie Prince Palmer and James Palmer, Highland, NY and stepson; Barry Swartout Albany NY, his grandchildren; Corlista Doland - Thornton and her husband Zach, Russell "Bo" Doland Jr., Matthew Prince and his wife Brittney, Kaitlyn Palmer and Jennifer Briglia, his great granddaughter; Cody Caliendo, and his sister; Jeanette Baker of Poughkeepsie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Prince, and sister, Nancy Klump. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Foundation, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie New York 12601. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 5pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11am, at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. Father James A. Gariso will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, NY.
