Obituary of Frank Rosmus

Frank J. Rosmus, 89, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Rosmus worked for Dutton Lumber and then he worked at Western Printing in Manufacturing, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Germania Hall and St. Joseph's Church in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Rosmus served in the US Army during World War II. He loved his family. Born March 17, 1920 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Joseph and Maria Zachara Rosmus. On July 6, 1968 in Holy Trinity Church, he married Jenny Marchese. Mrs. Rosmus died February 1995. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Charles Doty of Clermont, FL; his grandchildren, John, Christopher, Peter, Bethann Doty and Russell Garisto; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lorraine Garisto. Calling hours will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Burial and graveside services will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 5, at St. Peter's Cemetery.
