Obituary of Isabel Rubin

Isabel Rubin, age 88, of the Town of Poughkeepsie died Sunday, June 27, 2010 at home in Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Rubin was born January 17, 1922 in Caguas, PR. She is the daughter of the late Fernando and the late Leocadia Acevedo (DeLeon) Rodriguez. She married Jerald Rubin. her husband, predeceased her in July 2004. Isabel Came to New York in 1946 and lived in this area for 23 years. She was a Sales girl in the Bronx all her life until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of St. Martin DePorres Church. She is survived by her two children Zamig Farkas Anton and Lorraine Santis. Grandmother of six grandchildren and great grandmother of nine. She is also survived by friends who were dear to her Nilda and Louis Rivera and Helin and Jose Ojeza Calling hours will be Friday, July 2, 2010 from 11am to 1pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:30 pm on Friday, July 2, 2010 at St. Martin DePorres Church, Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie New York.
