Obituary of Thomas Schreck

Father, Brother and Friend, Thomas Edward Schreck, rode off into the sunset on his Harley on October 22, 2009 in Mesa, AZ. The fifth son, born on April 4, 1955 to Martin H. and Eileen Schreck, who predeceased him. Tom was also predeceased by two infant brothers. Tom is survived by a daughter, Mallory Schreck and a son, Austin Schreck both of Mesa, AZ. Tom had been previously married to Alice Schreck, and is also survived by his stepson, Dennis Primiano, Jr. of Poughkeepsie, NY. Also surviving is his sister, Mary E. Vona of Highland, NY, brothers Martin H. Schreck, Jr. of Poughkeepsie, NY, David A. Schreck of Hyde Park, NY, Robert C. Schreck of Poughkeepsie, NY, his twin brother Henry L. Schreck of Poughkeepsie, NY and Samuel J. Schreck of Poughkeepsie, NY. Tom was also predeceased by his best buddy and pet, "R.I.P.". Tom is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, namely dearest Michelle who helped him with unwavering support. Tom was a partner in H. A. Schreck, Inc. and Skyhawk Associates of Poughkeepsie, NY. Tom also worked for P & H Mine Pro in Mesa, AZ, working on extremely large mining equipment in the Southwest. Tom was educated in Spackenkill Schools. He was a Master Mechanic who learned his repair skills from his Grandfather and Father. Tom always enjoyed conversations with long-time employees of H. A. Schreck, Inc.'s extended family. Tom loved country music. Tom's love of motorcycles was common knowledge to all that knew him. Tom enjoyed an occasional round of golf with friends or family. Tom always rooted the New York Giants Football team on. Go Giants! Recently, Tom had earned and was instructed with membership and patch to "The V111's Society Motorcycle Club" of Mesa, AZ. Tom loved to tell people about his road trip to Sturgis, South Dakota. Heart felt thanks go out to Tom's extended family in the V111's Society Motorcycle Club in Mesa, AZ. Their support will always be remembered. Recently Tom had renewed his faith in the lord with his dear friend Billy "Preacher" Sample, who guided Tom on his renewed path, both who found the endless rewards of helping others in need. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 4 - 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie NY 12603. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Mount Cemetery, Eastchester, NY.
