Obituary of James Sitler

James R. Sitler, age 62, a fifteen year resident of Poughkeepsie died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. Mr. Sitler was born June 11, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late James Daniel and the late Florence (Seymour) Sitler. He married Marie Halligan on February 7, 2000 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She survives at home. James served in the Army from 1970 to 1973 during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the 101st Airborne. He recently retired from his job as an exterminator for Best Pest Control, Statsburg, NY. He was also known as the “Bug Man”. James was a NY Yankee fan and loved sports. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11:00am at Arlington Reformed Church, 22 Raymond Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
