Obituary of Dorothy Snow

Dorothy S. Snow, 87, a local resident all her life and lived in Poughkeepsie and Windham, died April 17, 2009 at Lutheran Care Center. She was a Medical Assistant for Dr. Bedell also had an Accounting Business with her husband. She went to schools in St. Albans in Queens. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, always had a smile on her face, loved to travel and was very active in her Church until she became ill. Born April 16, 1922, in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of Allan and Catherine Keech Sutcliffe. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Thomas J. Sharkey, December 12, 1967 and Thomas B. Snow in 1994. Survivors include daughter, and son-in-law, Kathleen and Paul Meyerherm of Jacksonville, FL; daughter and son-inlaw, Patricia and Roger Hanlon of Poughkeepsie, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer Lowe and her husband, Sultan Captain of NYC; Christopher Lowe of Yonkers; Brendon Lowe of Lyndhurst, NJ; Daniel Lynch and his wife, Trish of Westmont , NJ; Melanie Lynch of Poughkeepsie; step grandchildren, Thomas Snow and his wife, Caroline of Las Vegas, NV; Arlene Jurgenson and her husband, David of Las Vegas, NV; and Donna Hemple and her husband, Robert of Carlsborg, WA. She was predeceased by a brother, Jay Sutcliffe, May 10, 2002. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 3pm to 7pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will be at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
