Obituary of Alice Traver

Alice P. Traver, 74, of the Town of Poughkeepsie passed away on Friday, January 30, 2009 at The Pines at Poughkeepsie. A lifelong area resident, she was employed as an assembler at Fargo Manufacturing retiring in 1996. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie. She was a Life Member of the Family Ski Meisters and also bowled in several bowling leagues. Born in Poughkeepsie on April 17, 1934, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Morris LaBell. In 1956, Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie, she married Donald Traver. Mr. Traver survives in Poughkeepsie. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Donald C. Traver of New York, NY; Thomas F. Traver of Rochester; Wayne R. Traver of Santa Clara, CA; a grandson, Avery Traver of New York, NY; and three sisters, Marion Caswell of LaGrangeville; Evelyn LaBell of Kingston and Wendy Wright of Fairfax, VA. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph LaBell. Funeral services and burial are private and at the convenience of the family. Donations may be mad e in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
