Robert H. Werth, 73, a lifetime resident of Hyde Park, NY, died March 8, 2010 in Hyde Park. Mr. Werth was employed as an operator for Western Publishing and the Food Services Department at Vassar College. He retired in 2002. He was a member of the Western Retirees. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Bronson from 1955-1959. He loved to play golf. He played baseball for the College Hill Grocery Store. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, on April 10, 1936, he was the son of Ferdinand and Mildred McKenzie Werth. He attended Poughkeepsie Schools. Survivors include his companion for 30 years, Patricia Park of Hyde Park; son, Scott Eric Werth and his wife, Angie, of Pleasant Valley; sister, Meta Kaedy and her husband, Richard, of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Tyler, Scott, and Dylan Werth; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 12 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will follow calling hours at the funeral home at 12:00 on Friday. Burial will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie.
