Obituary of Frederick Young

Frederick G. Young, 68, a lifetime resident of the City of Poughkeepsie, died April 23, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital. He was a Resident Assistant for Bolger House, Poughkeepsie, NY, until his retirement in 2002, he was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, served in the US Army and a member of American Legion Post 1. He was never too busy to give a helping hand. Born May 27, 1940, in Amenia, NY, he was the son of Winfred and Amelia Dorn Young. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Brett Currier of Hyde Park, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Randi Young of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Sean Denning of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter and son-inlaw, Kelly Ann and Bryan Peterson of Hopewell Jct., NY; eleven grandchildren, Sydney and Jacob Currier; Darren Jr.; Tristan, Connor; Shane and Cole Young; Tabitha and Liam Denning; Garrett and Nolan Peterson; sister and brotherin-law, Joan and Leo Davies of Pleasant Valley, NY; several nieces and nephews; companion, Debbie Young. Calling hours will be held on April 30, 2009 from 7pm to 9pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
