Obituary of William Ogden

William E. Ogden, age 81, of Poughkeepsie died Friday, January 27, 2012 at home. Bill was born June 9, 1930 in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of the late Ernest J. and the late Marion (Teater) Ogden. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bill was a local resident all his life. He was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and he loved to fish and farm. He was employed by IBM Poughkeepsie as a Sr. Production Control Analyzer retiring in 1986. Bill is survived by his children; William J. Ogden and his wife Donna of Hyde Park NY, Susan E. Lutz of Fort Lauderdale Fla, Janine T deMartine and Mark of Millbrook NY and David A. Ogden and his wife Gina of Highland NY. Bill is also survived by his beloved companion Patricia Chase-Slee, her four children and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by two brothers Ernest and James Ogden and his sister Helen Howell. Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dutchess County for all the care given to their Dad and also a special thanks to the most dedicated Doctor, Doctor Edward K. Schneider.
