Obituary of Joel Feintuch

Joel J. Feintuch, 60, passed away suddenly on May 6, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was born September 26, 1951 in Manhattan to Morris and Jeanette Feintuch. He married Jane LaLuna in 1983 in Ossining, NY. She survives at home. Joel received a doctorate degree in Optometry from New York State School of Optometry. He owned and operated Eye Care Vision in Carmel, NY, Eye Care Vision in Mohegan Lake, NY and Vails Gate Vision Center in New Windsor, NY. A previous resident of Yonkers, Joel resided in Dutchess County. He enjoyed golf, antiques, clocks, yard work, his German Shepards and spending time with his family. Along with his wife, Joel is survived by two sons Jason of Manhattan and Alex of Poughkeepsie; stepson Thom Leete of Poughkeepsie and his niece Jeanette in Mason, Michigan. Calling hours will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
