Margaret B. Cierniak, age 77, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, May 25, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Margaret Cierniak was born September 26, 1934 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late Ralph L. and the late Hazel (Howroyd) Jones Sr.. She married John Cierniak on August 31, 1957 at St. Bernard's Church in Sharon Ct.. She was predeceased by her husband, John Cierniak on January 18, 2012. Margaret was a living in Poughkeepsie all her life. She loved to go out to eat, her family was the most important part of her life. She loved to listen and watch the birds in her back yard and loved her dogs. She is survived by one son: James Cierniak of Poughkeepsie, NY; Daughter and Son In-law, Davida and Gary Taylor of Chincoteague, VA; Son and Daughter In-law, Jeffery and Karen Cierniak of New Paltz, NY; Son and Daughter In-law, Jeremy and Theresa Cierniak of Poughkeepsie, NY; Grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Jeffrey, Jacey, Michael, Julie, Johnni, Luke, Jasmyn, Jessica, Dana; Several Great Grandchildren, Sister And Brother In-law, Betty And William Paroli of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was predeceased by her Brother, Ralph L. Jones Jr., sisters Ann Keywood, Helen Lutz, Rudy Rogers and Mae Dedrick Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 29 from 4pm to 7pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A memorial service will be held 6:30 pm during the visitation on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
