Obituary of Ethel Wilson

Ethel Wegner Wilson, age 88, died Wednesday night at Vassar Hospital after struggling with pneumonia. Born in 1925, she is survived by children Brian, Nancy and Deborah, a sister Irene and several grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Louis and son Richard. She taught practical nursing for many years at Dutchess County BOCES and volunteered in the PT/OT department at St. Francis Hospital. Ethel received her nurse's training at Hackensack Hospital School of Nursing and has spent her life in the care of others. She has been a visiting nurse, a hospital RN, a teacher, a mother and a grandmother. She will be missed. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10:00am in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
