Obituary of Edward Ladzinski

Edward A Ladzinski, a Poughkeepsie native, died peacefully at home on February 18th in Corpus Christi, Tx at age 92. Born on November 22, 1921, he was the son of the late John and Stephanie Budka Ladzinski. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Carol Bohlinger Ladzinski and 13 brothers and sisters. He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, Poughkeepsie Trade School and served our country during WWII in the US Navy as Chief Petty Officer on the USS Ranger and USS Randolph. Ed retired as a Sr Lab Technician from IBM after 35 years of service. He was renowned for crafting jewelry and sharing his pieces with everyone that touched his life. Surviving are his daughter Donna Ladzinski Smith of Corpus Christi, Tx and son Edward A Ladzinski Jr and his wife Melissa of St Simons Island, Ga. Also surviving are his grandsons Christopher Hough (Liz)-Florida, Matthew Ladzinski (Lori)-Rhode Island, Brian Ladzinski-N Carolina, Edward Ladzinski III-Georgia, Ryan and Carter Marks-Georgia. Surviving granddaughters are Kimberlee Chase-Afghanistan, Melissa Yanez-Texas, Jessica Shattuck (Zach)-Utah, Elizabeth Ladzinski-New York and Kaleigh Ladzinski-N Carolina. Ed was blessed to have many great-grandchildren including Kyle, Carolynn, Sarah and Madison Hough, Jordann Depascalis, Mason, Kelsea McKinney, Javin, Jarret Yanez, Slade, Reid Ladzinski, Logan Ulmer, Sawyer, Paisley Shattuck, and Kailyr Robertson. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be under the care of Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY on Monday, February 24th from 4-8pm . Services will be on Tuesday at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Mausoleum.
