Louis was always the "star" of his surroundings with his very dry sense of humor. Quote from grandaughter, Emily: "I can't possibly capture what an amazing man my Grandpa was in the limitation of words. I can't put his hugs and smiles here, or his zest for life and uniquely wonderful attitude. I can only say how bursting with love I am for him and how grateful I am to have had him as my grandpa. He was the best a girl could ask for. I already miss him sorely and selfishly wish he could have stayed forever, but he's resting in a better place now. Grandpa Louis thank you for absolutely everything, and may you rest in peace watching baseball, eating lasagna and your homemade cheesecakes, and listening to Patsy Cline. " Louis will be missed by all who new him. The family would like to acknowledge the care and comfort provided by the Doctor's and excellent nursing staff at Vassar Brother's hospital. Mass and celebration of life will occur at a later date in the early April 2014.
