Obituary of Howard D. Wessells Sr.

Howard D. Wessells, Sr., 81, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home.  Howard was born on June 3, 1937 in Peekskill, NY and was the son of the late Howard A. and Florence DeCaro Wessells.  He had been a local resident since 2001 and previously of Peekskill, NY.  Howard had worked for Metro North Railroad and retired in 1992.  On April 21, 1957 he married Elsie M. Brown in Peekskill and she survives him at home.  In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by his children; James M. Wessells (Helga) of Jacksonville, FL, Howard D. Wessells, Jr. (Cindy) of Beacon, NY and Richard E. Wessells (Emily) of Indianapolis.  Also surviving are his grandchildren; Eric and Kyle Wessells, Elizabeth Lablanc, John Kirkwood, Douglas Wessells, Amanda Wessells, Richard Wessells, Natasha, Wessells,and Oliva Wessells, in addition to his great-grandchildren Jordan, Aiden, Anabelle, Ovi, Hannah, John, Jacob and Joseph.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 1:00 - 5:00pm at the Timothy P.
