Obituary of Felice Dalia

Felice Dalia, a 64 year local resident formerly of Italy, passed away peacefully at her home on May 25, 2021. She was 86 years old. 

Felice (aka Felicetta, Ma, Nonna) was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and feeding everybody she could possibly feed. 

Born in Laino Castello, Italy on June 30, 1934, she was the daughter of Giuseppe and Domenica Mandarano DeFranco.

On August 1, 1957, she married Vincenzo Dalia in Laino Castello, Italy.

Felice was formerly employed as a seamstress at Nicky Lou's Coat Factory. She later became part owner of Dalia's Pizza. In 1980, Felice became owner of TJ's Pizza in Poughkeepsie where she retired.

Felice is survived by her husband Vincenzo Dalia and their children: Catherine Servodio and her husband Benito, Benedetto Dalia and his wife Christine, Saverio Dalia and his wife Linda. Grandsons: Michele Servodio, Joseph Servodio, Vincenzo Dalia, Saverio Dalia. Granddaughters: Rosanna Servodio, Angelina Dalia, Josephine Dalia, Sabrina Janke and her husband Chris. She is also survived by her brother Benedetto DeFranco of Praia A Mare, Italy. 

Felice was predeceased by her granddaughter Sophia Gabriella Dalia, her four brothers: Fedele Mario DeFranco, Romolo DeFranco, Luigi DeFranco, Franco DeFranco and his wife Filomena, a sister Rosina DeFranco Longo, and her Aunt Catherine and her son Benedetto.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 31, 2021 from 2PM to 6PM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie.

A Mass will be celebrated 10am Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Holy Trinity Church. 775 Main Street Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. 

Burial will be at Saint Peter's Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York.
