Obituary of Jeanne DeBenedictus

Jeanne L. DeBenedictus, 86, of Rhinebeck, NY, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck, NY. Jeanne was born in Athens, NY on September 16, 1934 to the late Ralph and Jeanette Garafolo Apa, Jr. She married Camillo A. DeBenedictus on August 31, 1957 at St. Patrick's Church in Athens, NY. He predeceased her on June 1, 1995.

A local resident since 1990, Jeanne received her Nursing Degree and was employed as an RN at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church and dearly loved her family and her grandchildren.

Survivors include daughter Michelle DelVecchio of Poughquag, NY, sons Craig (Kelly) DeBenedictus of Rhinebeck, NY, Mark (Doreen) DeBenedictus of Commerce Township, MI, Brian DeBenedictus of Milton, NY, grandchildren, Micheal DelVecchio, Christopher DelVecchio, Amber DeBenedictus, Andrew DelVecchio, Christina Lazarus, Peter DeBenedictus, Jared DeBenedictus, Scott DelVecchio, Gabrielle DeBenedictus, Cody DeBenedictus, Racheal DeBenedictus, Ashley DeBenedictus, Billy DeBenedictus, Ryan DeBenedictus, Shawn DeBenedictus, Shawn DeBenedictus, Abby DeBenedictus, Fiona DeBenedictus, 10 great grandchildren, sisters Marie Drowne of Middletown, RI, Sharon (John) Vita of Wappinger Falls, NY, brothers Ralph APA, Michael (Margaret) Apa and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
