Obituary of Frank “Clinker” Pietropolo

Frank "Clinker" Pietropolo, 76, of Chelsea, NY passed away on May 3, 2022. He was born on April 23, 1946 in Poughkeepsie, New York to the late Frank and the late Anna (Bruno) Pietropolo.

Frank was a local resident all of his life and was a 1967 graduate of the CIA in New Haven CT. 

He was a Food Service Manager for Downstate Correctional, before retiring in 2006. Frank also was the Chef for many years at the Italian Center and the Poughkeepsie ELKs Club.

Frank was a past member of the Italian Center and the Poughkeepsie ELKs #275, a member of the Vietnam Vets of America and the VFW

Frank served during Vietnam war in the United States Army in the Military Police Division from 1967 to 1969.

Frank loved to cook and spend time with his family and grandchildren. 

On October 25, 1970 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Frank married Paula E. Greer.

Survivors include his wife Paula Pietropolo Chelsea New York, daughter and son in-law Dana and Rich Byrne Chelsea New York, son and daughter in-law Dean and Mary Pietropolo Manhattan New York, daughter and son in-law Greer and Joe Baffuto Castle Point New York, grandsons Liam and Devin Bryne, grandson Joseph Baffuto III, granddaughter Isabella Baffuto, his special nephew and his wife David and Diane McGregor, and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was predeceased by his sister Frances Parker.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Friday May 6, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Poughkeepsie, New York

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Calvary Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
