Obituary of Phillip U. Johnson

Phillip U. Johnson, 91, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on July 19, 2022. He was born on June 11, 1931 in Kingston, Jamaica to Vernal and Jemima (Briscoe) Johnson.

Phillip has been a local resident since 1990. He was a Self Employed Carpenter for many years in Jamaica.

Survivors include his children Colleen Isaacs of Poughkeepsie, Maxine Johnson of Poughkeepsie, Jackie and Hubert Ingram of Poughkeepsie, Phillip Michael of Poughkeepsie, Errol and Arlene Johnson of Maryland, Oliver Johnson of Maine, Miquel Johnson of Poughkeepsie, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Phillip was predeceased by 3 sisters and his grandson Petty Officer 1st Class Corey George Ingram.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral Services will be held July 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM from Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Interment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
