Obituary of Suzanne M Lezon

Suzanne Lezon, 73, of Poughkeepsie, died unexpectedly at home on March 11, 2024. She was born July 7, 1950 in Poughkeepsie to Francis Lezon and Mary (Doyle) Lezon. Suzanne graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie. She then graduated in 1972 from D’Youville College with Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Suzanne continued her studies at Hunter College and graduated in 1979 with a Master of Science in Nursing. Suzanne was a dedicated health professional. Over her forty year career, she held a variety of nursing positions. She worked in critical care units and medical-surgical units at Saint Francis Hospital and Vassar Brothers Hospital, both in Poughkeepsie. She also worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in Manhattan. Suzanne also held administrative positions in the later part of her career, achieving Assistant Director of Nursing at Vassar Brothers Hospital. Suzanne is survived by her sisters Linda Martinez of Poughkeepsie, Stephanie(Mark) Newman of Leland, NC, and Helene (John) Bozlinski of Saugerties. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces. Suzanne was predeceased by her parents, brothers Stephen and Francis Lezon and sister Michele Lezon. A mass to celebrate Suzanne’s life, will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024, 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church town of Poughkeepsie. A private family burial will immediately follow the mass, at Saint Joseph’s Cemetary, town of Poughkeepsie. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
